Where to find customers for a nail, hair or massage specialist

Customers for a nail technician are in the posts where someone names a city and asks to recommend a specialist. That is how the two captured beauty posts in the project corpus look too: a city, a procedure and the word «recommend».

It is personal here: the person is choosing who will touch their hands, hair or skin. So the reply should be warm, short and free of pressure.

Here is how it is worded, what to reply and what not to write. And an honest remark: the query list holds only four phrases about beauty, so the starter set here is short.

The requests people write about specialists

Six phrases from the query list: four about care specialists and two that show the format with a city. Those two are not about beauty but about any service.

  • порадьте майстра манікюруIn English: recommend a nail technicianThe only row of the list that is about a manicure. The rest of the phrases in this niche lean on the name of a specialist, not of a procedure.
  • порадьте перукаряIn English: recommend a hairdresserA hairdresser: the specialist is named, the procedure is not. Finding out what the person wants is your first question.
  • порадьте масажистаIn English: recommend a massage therapistMassage is tied to how a person feels, so the reply stays restrained, with no medical promises.
  • порадьте грумераIn English: recommend a pet groomerA groomer: this covers pet care. The form is the same, only the owner asks about a pet.
  • Львів порадьтеIn English: Lviv recommendNot about beauty, but a format: city plus a request verb. The query list puts it first among the proven ones.
  • Київ шукаюIn English: Kyiv lookingThe same format with the verb «looking for». You put in your own city.

In the two captured beauty posts of the project corpus (piercing, brow microblading) there is a city, a procedure and the words «recommend a specialist». There is also a third post with the same phrase, but it is an advert for a course. These are three examples, not statistics.

How to tell a customer from an advert

The corpus has one post that begins with «looking for a nail technician» and then recruits a group for a course. The words are the same but the person is not looking for a nail technician. The signs are a start date, the number of places and an invitation to sign up.

The second signal: a customer describes their situation, an advert describes an offer. If a post has a class timetable or «places left», skip it.

The tone of the reply: warm and short

We suggest not selling a personal service head-on. One sentence about what you do, one question about what they want, no lists of services.

A person asks to be pointed to a person, and a reply that sounds like a person reads better than an advert. Do not write in general words on behalf of a salon.

What to reply and what never to say

What to reply

  • Name your city and say what you do in one sentence.
  • Ask about the wish: which shape or result the person wants.
  • Ask when it suits them: you will confirm the schedule yourself after they answer.

What never to say

  • Do not reply to adverts for courses and calls for models: that is advertising, not a request.
  • Do not publish a list of services and prices in a reply.
  • Do not mention other clients or tag them: the people you serve are not material for a reply.
  • Do not write «a decent specialist» or «unlike the others»: these are bait words that nobody checks.

A worked example: the post, the lead and the draft

Example

The post and the reply are invented for the example, translated from Ukrainian: neither the specialist, the customer nor the accounts exist.

Zhytomyr. Looking for a nail technician who does not cut cuticles harshly. Please recommend someone.

Why this is a lead. The post has a city, a concrete wish (no harsh cuticle work) and a direct request to recommend. The wish is the thing you can pick up in a reply.

Draft reply

Hello! I do manicure in Zhytomyr and work with a soft technique. Please write when it suits you: I will tell you which slots are free soon.

Why this reply. The reply is warm and short: one sentence about what you do and one question. It lists no services and names no price.

Starter phrases for a beauty specialist

The list has only four rows about beauty, and all of them are above. Start with the two named below. We make no claim about how many posts they bring.

  • порадьте майстра манікюруIn English: recommend a nail technicianThe only row of the list about a manicure: start with it.
  • порадьте перукаряIn English: recommend a hairdresserIt fits if you work with hair.

Phrases that do not work

They feel natural for someone looking for a specialist. But the query list marks them as mistakes.

  • де знайти нормальногоIn English: where to find a normal oneThe adjective meaning «a normal one» belongs to the language of dating: dating content arrives under such a phrase.
  • допоможіть будь ласкаIn English: please helpA general plea for help with no service named: collections, animal shelters and referral spam answer it, not people looking for a specialist.

Try it on your own post

Saw a request in your feed to recommend a specialist in your city? Paste the post: the draft will stay short and warm.
